Some companies usually have numerous lines of business with various business objectives and functions, so it is important to distinguish channel access for each available line of business. On 3Dolphins, the line of business tab can be used to manage channel access for each LOB. For example, LOB A consists of groups C and D where the channel assigned to live chat does not allow for LOB A. Then, the group in LOB A can't use the live chat channel unless they are also in another LOB that can access channel live chat or the channel with unspecific LOB (accessible to all LOBs). In addition, with the LOB, you are able to adjust the report visibility for each LOB.
This section will explain how to manage the LOB. Group can be members of the LOB. If there is a group that is not a member of the LOB, that group can only access channels that are unspecific LOB. To view and manage LOBs in the 3Dolphins app, select Administration > User Management > Line of Business. On this page, you can add new LOBs, edit and delete existing LOBs.

This icon indicates that the group is locked and that it is not possible to delete it. The reason is, the group still has team members.
This icon indicates that the group is possible to delete it.
This section contains instructions to add a new LOB. This privilege is only owned by users who have access to user management.
Sometimes, you might need to edit a LOB name. Maybe because the name of your company's business unit has changed.
In LOB management, you can see the group members contained in each lob. To see a list of groups, you can select a LOB and click the 'Group' icon, as shown below.

Sometimes it is necessary to remove a LOB from the system when it is no longer needed. Before a LOB can be deleted, any rules related to the channel assigned to that LOB must first be removed. Because, if the LOB still has the rule channel, it will be locked and you cannot remove the LOB.
First, go to the user management page then, select the LOB tab. On the top-right of the page, click the '+New LOB' button. Type the name of the lob to be created and click the 'save' button (). Then, the new lob will be displayed in the LOB tab of the user management page, as shown below.
Select a LOB from the list of the LOB management page, click the ‘Edit‘ button. Update LOB name as needed and then click the ‘save‘ button (). After clicking the save button, the name of the LOB will change according to the keywords entered.
