# Purge Data Collection

**Purging** is the process of freeing up space in the database or deleting obsolete data that is not required by the system.

On the data management page, select the collection and click the **'Purge'** button. Then, you will see a pop-up to confirm the purge data collection, click the **'Yes'** button to proceed or you can click the **'No'** button to return to the data management page.
